Bake for Good with King Arthur Baking Company

4:30 PM - 5:30 PM

Event Details

Kids in grades 4-8 are invited to participate in King Arthur Baking's Bake for Good program.  After you register, pick up a bag of supplies from the Children's Department, interact with bakers from King Arthur on Zoom during an instructional session, then put your baking knowledge to use making 2 loaves of delicious bread (or pizza, or cinnamon rolls)!  Kids can keep one loaf and share the other with someone in the community.  Kids will learn that combining math, science, reading, and baking know-how adds up to delicious bread!

Please register online for the event with the names of the kids attending.  Supply bags can be picked up at the Children's Desk during regular library hours.  You will receive a link for the Zoom session the day before the event.  Please note, the Zoom session is for your child to observe the process and ask questions, not to follow along with their own ingredients.  After the program, participants can make their loaves of bread at a time convenient to them.
