Crandall Public Library
Christine L. McDonald Community Room

Event Details

The Mammals, led by Ruth Ungar-Merenda and Mike Merenda, are back at Crandall with the full band on strings, drums, bass, pedal steel and organ for a high-energy performance not to be missed! In an era of disconnect, The Mammals work to re-connect through their truth-telling lyrics, off-the-cuff storytelling and euphoric instrumentals. Their dynamic show regularly brings a tear to the eye and hope to the hearts of listeners of all generations. The title song of their current album, Sunshiner, has been nominated for Best Song of 2018 in the International Folk Music Awards, and is called “… totally uplifting and enough warmth to get you through the coldest season – such is its touching staying power” – Listening Through the Lens.
The Mammals are “gently-mannered activists with well-crafted songs that successfully ask potent questions of politicians and raise issues to probe how we can improve the planet. They deliver their material persuasively and in an eloquent manner with enjoyment of their music underpinning the approach overall” – Celtic Music Radio
