Librarian/Historian Tisha Dolton will discuss her current exhibition Equali-Tea: Suffragist Tea Cozies in Redwork currently on display. Tisha will talk about her embroidery project as it relates to the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote, local suffragists included in the exhibit, and the LARAC/NYSCA grant that made it all possible.
Speaker bio:
Tisha Dolton is a librarian at Crandall Public Library, and a public historian who served 17 years as the Town of Greenwich Historian. The songs, pageantry, and local history of the Women's Suffrage Movement is her research focus. Tisha is an embroidery artist with over 22 years experience, and often embroiders portraits of historical figures.
